Trusted Health Resources
There are many resources and organizations that provide education, services, and support to individuals and communities living with health conditions. So many, in fact, that it can be hard to know which ones are reliable. That’s why we’ve developed the Everyday Health Trusted Resources program, to recognize and share with you the organizations working hard every day to be exceptional, trustworthy sources of assistance, community, information, and strength.

How Organizations Earn Our Trust
Everyday Health’s editorial team does not give a stamp of approval lightly. We are deeply committed to journalistic integrity and giving our readers confidence in the information we provide. The Trusted Health Resources program is not designed to endorse individual opinions or points of view, but to highlight only the most trustworthy, valuable organizations and resources.
We validate these organizations as reputable sources of evidence-based health information. These organizations may be scientific in nature, or they may be dedicated to helping people living with a specific health condition and committed to fostering a sense of community by sharing authentic, lived experiences others can relate to or learn from. We thoroughly vet all organizations featured in the program using a set of core principles:
- Credibility and Authority The organization must demonstrate clear expertise in its area of focus. For educational organizations, health systems, and professional networks, this requires an unimpeachable foundation of medical or scientific knowledge. For advocacy organizations, we look for authentic lived experiences, breadth and depth of tools and resources, and a track record of empathetically representing and serving the needs of their communities.
- Relevance, Accessibility, and Quality of Resources The organization’s mission must align with our commitment to providing clear, evidence-based, actionable information that is easy to access and centers on the needs of the community served. In addition to health condition information, the organization may provide educational tools and resources that offer exceptional support for the full experience of living with a condition. This may include financial and legal guidance, patient navigation recommendations, and other services for our readers.
- High-Quality Recommendations Validation from “those who know,” including medical professionals, patient advocates, and other trusted organizations, carries great weight, because it speaks to the authenticity and genuine utility of an organization and their resources.
We conduct an annual review of highlighted organizations for accuracy of information and update our lists to include any new resources that have impressed us in the past year.
