Thyroid Cancer

Thyroid cancer is a relatively rare but highly treatable overgrowth of cells in the thyroid gland. Most thyroid cancers are a slow-growing type called papillary cancer. Treatment typically involves surgery but can also include radioactive iodine, radiation, or targeted therapy as well as lifelong thyroid hormone replacement therapy.
