Panic disorder is a mental health condition involving frequent panic attacks (a sudden, intense feeling of dread or a loss of control), even though there’s no clear danger present. Symptoms of panic disorder may include sudden and recurrent panic attacks, racing or pounding heart, sweating, chest pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, and an intense fear of having another panic episode.
