Norovirus

Norovirus is a highly contagious virus that is the most common cause of foodborne illness in the United States. The most common symptoms are diarrhea and vomiting, which typically improve on their own in one to three days. However, some people (particularly young children, the very old, and those with weakened immune systems) may require medical care.
