Labyrinthitis is inflammation of part of your inner ear linked to hearing and balance, and symptoms include sudden balance problems, hearing loss, tinnitus, vertigo, and dizziness. Treatment might involve rest, hydration, corticosteroids, antibiotics, and drugs for dizziness and nausea as well as physical therapy and vestibular rehabilitation to support balance if symptoms don’t improve.
