Breast Cancer Diagnosis

Tests used to diagnose breast cancer include mammograms, breast MRIs (magnetic resonance imaging), and breast ultrasounds. However, while these tests can identify the possibility of cancer, the only way to definitively diagnose breast cancer is with a biopsy, in which a sample of suspicious breast tissue is removed and examined by a pathologist for malignant cells.
