An aneurysm is a weakened bulge in a blood vessel. They often occur in the brain, heart, neck, intestines, spleen, kidneys, and legs, and symptoms vary depending on the location of the aneurysm. A ruptured aneurysm can be life-threatening. Treatment may involve monitoring, managing risk factors, medication, or surgery.
